How to Join #QLPickup.us Pick-up Games

• To get started:


• Download our special, pre-configured version of mIRC by clicking here (no installation required, simply double-click mirc.exe to join #QLPickup.us)
  • If you already have IRC, connect to irc.quakenet.org and join #QLPickup.us
    
  • Or click the "Play Now!" link at the top of this page to connect using webchat.
    
• The !status command displays the status of the current game (score, time left, players, server location), if any.
• Type !ql YourQLName to set your IRC name to your QL name. This is necessary for stats/player rankings/and team creation.


• To sign up for a game, type: !add gametype(s)
  • Example: !add ctf
  • Sign up for multiple games by separating gametypes with spaces, i.e: !add ctf tdm ca
  • If you are AFK for more than 60 minutes, you will be given a warning, then you'll be automatically removed from all games. Upon receiving the AFK warning, type something in the channel to confirm that you are present.
• To see who is signed up and ready to play, type: !who gametype
  • Example: !who ctf
  • If you type !who without mentioning a gametype you can see the playerlist for all games.
    
• To remove yourself from the game list, type: !remove gametype
• Example: !remove ctf
• To remove yourself from ALL games, type: !remove without mentioning the gametype.
• If you disconnect from IRC or leave #QLPickup.us, the pickup bot will automatically remove you from the game list.
• If you're signed up for more than 1 gametype, and a game launches, you'll automatically be removed from the other gametypes.
• When the game launches, certain players may type !spawn <gametype> <location> to automatically create a server. The link will be posted within 45 seconds. You then should join the voice chat server (type: !mumble to get its address.)
